introduction

last night taher and i had dinner with a couple of friends, one of whom told me she read a lot of my older posts- she went into the archives and read things i had posted in the first year of this blog. and she had noticed an evolution or a progression of sorts.

this morning i took a look myself at some of these old posts, and i see what she means.

the thing is, i have stopped writing about life so much, because "the future" seems to have arrived. things have become more concrete- i used to think and write about what sort of life i wanted to fashion for myself after graduation and after egypt. and now i am actually in the process of fashioning that life. writing, travelling, marriage, "settling down" while still feeling free. check, check, check.

it's good to know. of course, when i look back at the archives, i kind of miss those long-winded posts that seemed to go on forever. even if i'm the only one ;)
